Portland Cement
A ratio of 3.5:1 It is formulated to provide optimal strength characteristics meeting U.S. standards.
Sand
Washed concrete sand and Plaster sand at a 50/50 ratio is used to make a perfect blend of strength and versatility of texturing.

-
Fibermesh – Nylon fibers are mixed throughout to help prevent shrinkage and hairline cracking.
-
Coloring - We use only the best of brands from Solomon and Proline that have no fillers added to keep vibrant colors throughout the concrete.
-
Plasticizers – We add liquid admixture (plasticizer) that includes air entrainment and many other positive additives for a stronger curb, reduced risk of cracking and reduced efflorescence formation.
-
Stainless steel reinforcement - We run a 1/8 inch stainless steel (not galvanized) aircraft cable through our curb increasing tensile strength by 1800 psi. The cable improves strength and durability and minimizes shifting and/or separation during freeze/thaw cycles. (*Galvanized cable used by some will chemically break down concrete by changing ph levels during curing stage and also break, rendering it useless in 2-3 years.)
-
Experienced crew and quality equipment - An average of 15 years experience per crew member and equipment updated annually to compact the tightest curb with our exclusive “vibration technology” and maintain consistent height and flowing contours.
-
Control Joints – Are cut approximately half way through the curbing down to the cable every 12”-28” to allow for expansion and contraction from seasonal changes.
-
Sealer - High quality solvent based cure and seal. Aids in proper curing of concrete curb as well as protection from color fading and staining. For best results a solvent based sealant should be applied every 1-2 years.

After troweling, we then make the pattern/stamp of your choice come to life. After this occurs, we cut control joints every 2 feet to give your curb the flexibility for the freeze/thaw cycle.
